FightFlow has always been about flow and reaction. With Skill Academy, we’re adding structured progression so you can master specific weapons—not just survive randomized cues.

The Academy is a tree-based system with 3 branches (Hands, Legs, Defense), 19 technique tracks, and 152 levels total. Each level comes with a purpose-built drill, built-in stance switching, and clear progress tracking. Think of it as a solo curriculum that lives in your pocket and stays honest about where you are.

Why Add a Progression System?

Random modes sharpen reaction time, but technical mastery needs repetition and intent. Skill Academy gives you:

  • Clarity: Know exactly which technique to work on and why.
  • Structure: Prebuilt drills that start with fundamentals and layer complexity.
  • Progress Tracking: Each level requires 5 completed sessions, with visual bars and checkmarks so you can see momentum.
  • Balance: Stance switching and opponent steps ensure both sides and both phases (offense/defense) develop together.

How Skill Academy is Organized

  • Branches: The Hands (punches), The Legs (kicks/knees), Defense (slips, rolls, checks, blocks).
  • Tracks: Examples include The Jab, The Cross, The Hook, The Roundhouse Kick, and dedicated defense tracks.
  • Levels: Multiple per track, moving from static reps to movement integration to advanced chains.
  • Drill Ingredients: Step-in/step-out framing, opponent attacks (for defensive tracks), resets, stance switches, and timed pauses so you never rush sloppy reps.

All drills are stored in-app (offline-friendly) and rendered as clean, voice-led sessions through the same player you already use.

How to Use Skill Academy

  1. Open Training → Enter the Academy of Skills.
  2. Pick a track (e.g., The Jab) and read the “Why This Matters” note.
  3. Start at Level 1. Earn progression by completing 5 sessions before moving on.
  4. Follow the drill cues: The player calls out steps like “Step in → Jab → Jab → Reset → Switch stance” with the right delays baked in.
  5. Track your completion: Progress bars and checkmarks keep you honest; the dashboard shortcut (“Continue Mastery”) jumps you back in instantly.

Pro tip: Once a level feels comfortable, run a Random Combo Flow round right after to apply the technique under chaos. The contrast accelerates carryover.

What Sets These Drills Apart

  • Stance Switching Built In: No more ignoring your weak side—switch prompts are part of the script.
  • Opponent Steps for Defense: Blocks, slips, checks, and rolls are framed as realistic reactions, not just static motions.
  • Timing That Teaches Rhythm: Delays are tuned for real pacing, with level multipliers (Slow/Mid/Fast/Ace) if you want extra speed.
  • Offline-First: Every drill works anywhere—basement, park, or hotel room—no signal required.

Sample Paths to Try

  • Hands → The Jab (Levels 1-3): Static jabs to perfect extension, then add combos and footwork so your lead hand sets everything up.
  • Legs → Roundhouse Kick: Build balance, add angle changes, then finish with stance switches so both hips stay sharp.
  • Defense → Slipping: Start with isolated slips, add counters, then tie slips to pivots for real exit options.

Each path is already sequenced; you just have to show up and complete the sessions.

Weekly Plan With Skill Academy

  • Day 1: Level 1 Jab + Random Flow (slow cadence) to apply it.
  • Day 2: Level 1 Slipping + Defense Focus (opponent mode).
  • Day 3: Level 2 Jab + Combo Builder custom drill.
  • Day 4: Rest or light Footwork Routine.
  • Day 5: Level 2 Slipping + Random Combo Flow.

Repeat with higher levels once you’ve logged the 5 sessions per level. The app keeps count so you don’t have to.

Skill Academy turns FightFlow into more than a reaction coach—it’s now a structured path for technical growth. Open the Academy, pick your next track, and start collecting clean reps with intent.
