We're excited to announce the release of our most requested feature: the Combo Builder.

While FightFlow's random modes are perfect for reaction training and flow state, sometimes you need structured, repetitive practice to master specific techniques. That's where the Combo Builder comes in.


What is Combo Builder?

The Combo Builder is a complete system for creating, managing, and executing custom training combos. It gives you precise control over every aspect of your training sequence, allowing you to build routines that match your exact needs.

Whether you're a coach designing a workout for your students or a fighter working on a specific combination, the Combo Builder puts the power in your hands.


Key Features

1. Precise Timing Control

In standard modes, timing is either random or fixed. In Combo Builder, you control the pacing of every step — choose Step Timing presets (Snap, Beat, Hold, Breathe) per step, or switch to Tap Rhythm and tap the beat so the whole combo lands on your rhythm.

  • Want a fast 1-2, then a longer pause? You can do that.
  • Need a slow, technical breakdown of a complex combo? Easy.
  • Every step carries its own timing — from a sharp snap to a long breath.

2. Advanced Step Types

It's not just about moves. You can add different types of steps to create realistic scenarios:

  • Move Step: Any punch, kick, or defensive move.
  • Opponent Step: Simulates an incoming attack (e.g., "Opponent: Jab!") for you to defend/counter.
  • Pause Step: Silent delay for recovery or transition.
  • Stance Step: Cues a stance switch — orthodox to southpaw and back — mid-combo.
  • Feint Step: Adds a feint to bait a reaction before the next strike.

3. Combo Speed Levels

Once you've built a combo, you can play it at different speeds without editing the timing manually:

  • Slow: Perfect for learning the mechanics.
  • Mid: Normal speed.
  • Fast: For sharpening speed.
  • Ace: Fight pace — for when the combo is automatic.

4. Preloaded Templates

Not sure where to start? We've included 24 preloaded combo templates across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels — including:

  • Classic Boxing 1-2-3
  • Jab-Cross-Body Kick
  • Defensive Counter Combos

How to Get Started

  1. Go to the Training tab and select Combo Builder.
  2. Tap "Add Combo".
  3. Add your steps. You can mix moves, opponent cues, and pauses.
  4. Set the timing for each step.
  5. Save and play!

Why Structure Matters

Random training builds adaptability, but structured training builds precision. By repeating the same sequence with exact timing, you develop muscle memory and technical excellence. The Combo Builder allows you to bring the structure of pad work into your solo training sessions.
